uCubed is an education startup that helps business and individuals to become safe, secure, and smart in their Web3 pursuit through accessible and reliable Web3 education.
Vision: Become a global standard for Web3 education
Our vision is to establish a national and global benchmark for Blockchain, Digital Assets and Web3 education by building an open, globally accessible and industry accredited learning ecosystem. We aim to remove financial and structural barriers to knowledge, enable verifiable on-chain credentials, and create a system where expertise is earned, proven and recognised based on demonstrated understanding rather than institutional bureaucracy and gatekeeping.
Mission: Making high-quality and structured Web3 education accessible to business and individuals
Since the inception of Bitcoin and decentralised Blockchain technology in 2009, a wide variety of innovative concepts and technologies with an even wider variety of use-cases have come to prominence. While the decentralised blockchain ecosystem (Web3) has innovated rapidly, reliable education for businesses and individuals have struggled to keep pace. As a result, engaging with web3-related technologies is often conducted without a level of foundational understanding or practical proficiency that may be necessary to better assess risk, evaluate information, or make safe, secure, and well-informed decisions. Over time and to-date, this gap results in an exorbitant and growing amount of unnecessarily wasted resources for both businesses and individuals. Additionally, with the rapid innovation of the Web3 ecosystem, information is often fragmented, sensationalised, disorganised, or unreliable. Based on the organisation of our ecosystem knowledge, Web3 includes 24 major technology subjects and counting. These subjects include concepts and technology that introduce previously unfathomable use cases for both businesses and individuals, ranging from personal sovereignty to enterprise applications. As these use cases become increasingly prominent, learning one or more Web3 subjects is becoming increasingly attractive from a personal, professional, and business standpoint. The issue starts here. Generally, learning a Web3 subject presents a variety of complexities on top of its varying difficulty, either being forced to do your own research and improvise practically, or, pay for education that is unnecessarily expensive, high-duration, gate-kept by legacy institutions, or questionably credible. To remove these barriers to Web3 subject knowledge, uCubed has created the infrastructure for a free public knowledge library designed for both individual and business focuses, aiming to eventually become the most complete library for all 24 Web3 subjects, making theory-focused courses and degrees largely redundant. Whilst knowledge will be continually added, improved, and available for free in our library, uCubed will also address the need for curated knowledge and practical skills with through its education services.
Founder: Web3 industry member with over a decade of vast experience
James Volpe is the Founding Director of uCubed and has been actively engaged in the Bitcoin and broader blockchain ecosystem for over 12 years, beginning by working alongside communities, developers, and early-stage projects during the formative years of the Web3 ecosystem from a wide range of roles and contexts, whilst using his vast experience and acumen to serve larger companies and their clients in later years. James' long-term research, practical usage, and work experience has provided him with the unique skill to translate knowledge and practical skills to both businesses and consumers, inspiring him to co-found the uCubed idea in 2022, and rejoin the mission to incorporate the uCubed company in 2024. As curriculum developer and facilitator at uCubed, James maintains a fact-driven approach that translates knowledge and practical skills for Web3 subjects that help clients to achieve their business and personal learning objectives, with a deliberate effort made to avoid speculation and sensationalisation. As of 2026, James has established uCubed in the education industry, has built (and continues to grow) a wide variety of curriculum for business and individual clients, presented high-impact keynotes at several uCubed events, and is committed to the increasing accessibility and standard of Web3 subject education through uCubed and its long-term objectives.
